Traveling Alone

I would say most of my travels are done alone. I see and do what I please. If I get bored of a place I simply move on.

I usually meet people along the way and I’m not as lonely. This trip has been different so far. Most of the people here are older (50-60) and coupled. It’s kind of like they travel in a bubble not wanting to eat the local food or go to places where there aren’t any fellow Euro’s. It has been odd but I’m thinking I should have only came for a week.

The hotels have been mostly empty. Yesterday I was taken to one where no one was staying. I said no and left. I’m in a place called Surfcity. It has a younger clientele, meaning under 50. It’s on the beach and I’m happier.

I still have a bit of time here and I am enjoying it. I’m reading more and writing more. I have little stress. I am looking forward to going back to Hong Kong. I miss the people there and my work & study.
