I didn’t want to pay a lot for a hotel. I also didn’t want to pay for a taxi from the hostel to the Guangzhou East Rail Station. I checked an online site and found a spa. In Korea they are called Jimjilbong.
Number 9 Spa Club is right beside the station. It is a 4 level Spa with separate mens and women’s wet sauna. There are separate sleeping areas where you have your own private bed but you can still hear the person snoring beside you. The spa has a huge TV lounge with huge lazy boys. The buffet and drinks, not booze, are free.
A lot of the things have poorly written English signs. The total cost was Y175 ($27 US). More expensive than a hostel but cleaner. Cheaper than a hotel.
