On The Plane

I have done this flight from Asia to Toronto many times now and it is always an enjoyable flight. It is long at 13-16 hours. I don’t sleep that much because I can’t get comfortable. There is never any room to lay my head against the wall or anything.  I usually watch movies or do some kind of writing to pass the time away. This trip I have gotten caught up on my journals and my movies.

Going home has always been a challenge for me. In Korea there was ever enough time or money to make the trip. The second year in Korea, I made the trip but only had 10 days and I had to deal with a boy who was visiting. Everything was rushed and it seemed like a blur. I came home twice during the summer & october for a month at a time. I was bored because I had no work to do and most of my friends no longer lived in St. Catharines.

In HK, I am grateful that I have the chance to go home especially at Christmas. Last year was tough because my family couldn’t be fully together. This year is going to be better with everyone there. I’m in a better place now in my mind and in my heart. I am really looking forward to landing and seeing my mother and father along with everyone else.
