Oktoberfest in Hong Kong

I have spent the day in a bit of recovery. Last night was the first day of the Marco Polo Hotel German Bierfest or the best Oktoberfest in Asia. The place was filled with Lowenbrau and Beck’s as well as bratwurst, sourkraut. I went with Mike, Jered, Pepe and a few others.

The place was at the Marco Polo Hotel in TST overlooking the Central Skyline. It was under a tent and filled with people from all over. The beer was a bit expensive but not too bad. I didn’t eat a lot, but had a taste and it was amazing. There was a German Polka band playing all the German classics. There was dancing on the tables and chairs. I sang so much I lost my voice and it is still a bit raspy.

I didn’t drink too much but had a great time. The plan is to do it all over again next weekend and I am looking forward to it. It was a great way to forget about a bad week. The more I stay here in Hong Kong the more I am enjoying the people and the culture. I hope it continues.
