Where to start? Incredible 4 course dinners for $12 US. Beautiful French style houses and buildings. Tailor made shirts for $7US. Custom made shoes. It goes on.
Hoi An has to be one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited. At night, the city is filled with red lanterns making it feel very romantic. The restaurants are beautifully done with a European feel. The food feel fresh and healthy. All of these things create a beautiful feel to the city.
During the day, some of the old town is blocked to prevent the scooters to speed through the narrow streets and allow the people to walk freely. The buildings are French colonial style with a dark yellow colour.
We stayed at the An Huy Hotel (www.anhuyhotel.com) which cost $35US for a two single bed room. The hotel reminded me a lot of the ones in Niagara-On-The-Lake. The owner was great but the staff was a bit snippy.
The time had was relaxing and I hope to return.
