Over the river for wings

I love good chicken wings.

One of the benefits about living in the Niagara area is it is only a 10 minute drive to the United States. On the other side of the border, in Niagara Falls and Buffalo NY are some of the best chicken wings there are in the world. They are huge and full of meat, unlike the small skinny ones I found in Korea.

Yesterday, my mother and I went over to a place called Jaco’s Pizzeria for Wings but no pizza. I have found that sometimes the worse the place looks on the outside the better the food is inside and they were right about that. The food was GREAT. The wings were huge and juicy. They weren’t too hot but then again we ordered mild. We had 30 wings and I had two drinks while my mother had a coke. The total: $24 US. In Canada it would have cost about $50.

We then went to the Factory Outlet Mall where I went a bit nuts with the shopping. Everything seemed like it was on sale or was incredibly cheap. I bought a few pairs of pants and some shirts. I spent about $200 US where I would have spent double that in HK.

The best part was the time I spent with my mother. Good times.
