I Love High Speed Rail

I’m on the new train from Wuhan to Guangzhou but I picked it up in Qingyuan. The train is going 285 km/hr. It’s floating on a cloud.

I first tried High Speed Rail in Korea on the second weekend of the then “new” KTX in the spring of 2003 and have been hooked ever since. It is far better than flying even if it’s slower. You get to see so much more. The train snakes through countrysides and mountains. There is a dinning car where one can relax even. The best reason is train stations tend to be in the centre of the city.

As I’m writing this, kids are glued to the small villages basing by. We are now at 302 km/hr and people are taking pictures of the speed. I love the train.
