I have been having some house guests over for the past two weeks. It is a girl I met in Korea along with her mother. The girl has been working retail in Canada since graduating from teachers college and has been having a hard time trying to find a job. It is hard to find a teaching job in Canada these days because teachers make a lot of money as they move up the grid, meaning stay longer. There are very few incentives to retire so they continue to be there. The child population isn’t growing by leaps and bounds so finding a job in Canada is a bit of a pain.
It has been good to have them here with me but at the same time I am a bit craving to have my space back. They are out a lot and I am out a lot but it is just I haven’t lived with someone in a long time (about 9 years now) and I am just not use to living with someone. I am not the most considerate with someone living with me since I just assume they do their own thing and I do mine. They will leave this weekend and I am looking forward to having my place back.
The next time I offer a place, I should make sure it is just a short term thing.
