Korea Beats Greece

Seoul City Hall for the World Cup

It was a rainy day in Seoul yesterday. I came up in the afternoon to watch the big World Cup soccer match between Korea and Greece. It’s the round robin and Korea must place first or second in their division.

Four years ago, I watched every game from City Hall. There were about a million people watching the game at that time. This time, because of the rain, there weren’t as many people. I didn’t take as many pictures but took a few.

Korea won 2-0 in a fairly exciting game. It was great to be surrounded with so many people to celebrate. There were a lot of bottles of soju drunk that night and none by me.

Korea plays high powered Argentina on Thursday and I shall be in Gunsan.
