Heading Home

Heading on the plane home.

I haven’t been home in about 2.5 years and now I am writing this on a plane bound back to Canada. My mother and father are picking me up at the airport (I am writing this on the plane but will be posted when I get home). I am so excited.

Finding time to go home and enjoying being with my family was always tough being in Korea. There was always a question of finding the time to go and finding the money to spend it on. I am paying for this flight on my credit card and a bit nervous about it since my card’s balance is fairly high. When I get back to Hong Kong I need to go on a financial diet.

For me the thing I am most nervous about is going to see my brother. He did something stupid a few years ago and it got him sent to jail. For me the nerves come back to seeing him there and well talking to him. We have never been that close and in this situation I am not sure what to say or do when I meet up with him tomorrow (Tuesday).

The thing I am most excited about is the chance to see my family and friends. I know I will not get to see everyone. I just hope I get a chance to see most of them. I have a few friends driving in from Ottawa to see me. I have a few friends in Toronto that I hope I can have a party with to talk about how they are and how things are going. There are a lot of things to do in this short amount of time. I just hope to get them done.

I am loving the view from the airplane. The sky looks so amazing when above the clouds.
