You Were Young Once
One of the most intimidating things for a P1 student is to look up and see this huge white guy with white hair. To put them at ease I show them this picture in my first lesson. It is me when I was their age and the teacher explains it all in Canto and Putonghua. I want their first meeting with me to be as comfortable as possible and most of all I don’t want them to fear me so I show them this picture.
